The Head of public service Felix Koskei who is also the Chief of Staff has asked for a review of the curriculum for Technical and Vocational Training Institutes Institutions.
Speaking at Olessos Technical Training Institute during graduation ceremony where over Two thousand Seven hundred students graduated with Certificates and Diplomas, Koskei cited that tertiary colleges should impart practical skills to learners so as to be able to compete in the job market.
He revealed that courses offered by this Institutions should meet the International standards in order to enable Kenyans youth be able to access employment opportunities overseas.
The head of public service further added that the Technical and vocational training are a key notch to National Integrations since students admitted are from diverse communities which enables them learn and embrace different cultures across.
“The President William Ruto is keen in expanding this TVET’s in order to increase skilled labour while the Country focuses on industrialization” Koskei confirmed.
He urged parents from across the Nation to embrace technical education by allowing their children enroll to this Tvets in order learn and gain skills that will help them have a better tomorrow.
