Nandi County government through the leadership of Governor Stephen Sang has received an oxygen plant donation from a nongovernmental organization, this being a great milestone to the County as it will fasten the effectiveness of health care service delivery.
Speaking at Nandi hills County Hospital during the official commissioning of the plant, Sang lauded the efforts of the partners in supporting the health care system saying as a government will continue partnering with more Donors in ensuring the health care system in the County is well boosted for quality health care services.
“As Nandi Governor, I want to extend my gratitude to our Donors and our development partners for their tremendous support towards realization of the project which is a plus to our County. ” Sang affirmed.
Sang cited that they have received a total of 200 oxygen cylinders from USAID which will be stationed at Nandi Hills County Hospital saying that as a County they had received 300 oxygen cylinders from AMREF that are used at Kapsabet County Referral Hospital.
“As a County, we have two oxygen plants stationed at Kapsabet County Referral hospital and Nandi Hills respectively thus we are safer in terms of provision of oxygen.” He added.
The County boss reiterated that this will go a long way in improving and boosting the health care system in the County and proud of the partners for their tireless support and will closely work together for more goodies from them.
He asked Nandi residents to utilize the two projects well as cost of oxygen is very expensive.
