Nandi Senator Samson Cherargey has called on the National Cohesion and Intergration Commission (NCIC) to consider cracking the whip against the Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga together with his allies for misleading Kenyans through protests which he termed as fuelling political divisions that can plunge the country into chaos.
Speaking in a function in Nandi, Cherargey cited that the demands that the Azimio leader is raising is unreasonable and is against the constitutional principles thus wants NCIC to chip in and take stern actions to the Azimio brigade for malice and hate speech.
The legislator laid blame to the Azimio for raising unreasonable demands saying it has derailed the government in service delivery thus should stop to give the government ample time to deliver on its mandate.
“NCIC should prosecute those spreading lies, hate speech and incitement in the Azimio camps” Cherargey said.
He added that, as a legislator together with both houses will engage the team through the Seven side Bipartisan Committee on issues affecting Kenyans at large not the hand shake.
He revealed that there is no need of the Azimio team protesting against the government and leading the demonstrations, saying cost of living and economical issues facing the country will not be solved through protests.
