Bungoma County has called on its leadership to ensure women are properly and fully involved in the coming National Chamber of Commerce elections come next month.
Addressing the press at Chwele Market, the women in business said they are ready to sacrifice to ensure the new leadership that comes in enjoins them in the activities of the association to benefit them.
The national contestant for the top position of the association Mr. Eric Ruto said that if elected he will work with both. national.and county governments to ensure a good environment for business to thrive.
However, the business community has added weight on the issue of privatization of government owned industries especially those in Western Kenya. They argue that the move will attract investors who will revive the ailing industries like Nzoia and Mumias to realize and sustain the economy of the region.
