Ms. Muthoni Mary Muriuki has taken up the role of Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, State Department of Public Health and Professional Standards replacing Dr. Josephine Mburu who was sacked yesterday by the Head of State over a procurement scandal at KEMSA.
The changes communicated by the Head of Public Service, Felix Koskei has seen different ministries affected where Harry Kimtai has been moved from the Ministry of Agriculture, State Department of Livestock to the Ministry of Health, State Department of Medical Services taking over from Eng. Kiplagat Peter Tum, CBS who has been moved to the Department of Sports in the Ministry of Youth Affairs, The Art and Sports.
Hon. Jonathan Mueke has been moved from Sports Department to the Ministry of Agriculture in the Department of Livestock.
Others who have been reassigned include; Mr.Gitonga Mugambi, EBS from the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation in the Department of Irrigation to the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Forestry, Department of Forestry swapping with Mr. Ephantus Kimani, Ms. Esther Ngero has been moved from Performance Management docket in the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary to the Ministry of Interior and National Cordination in the Department of Correctional Services.
Ms. Faith Njeri Harison has been however nominated by the Head of State in the post of Principal Secretary, State Department for Performance Management in the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary to fill the vacancy within the ranks of Principal Secretaries.
The changes take effect immediately.
