A big jam has been evident today in Bungoma town following the large crowd of people who matched along the road to take home the body of Ian Sitati alias Isa Paul, a musician and a film director who lost his life shortly after he was involved in a road accident near Bungoma Airstrip a fortnight ago.
Ian Sitati who was a husband and a father to one, has been acknowledged and appreciated by many people among them the musicians who termed his death as a big loss to them and the entire music industry. They said he directed their music videos passionately and ensured that the end product is catchy to the audience.
Basel Vishindo, a secular music artist sobbed bitterly since they had some projects that they were doing together which were to be completed soon.
“To me Isa Paul was a brother, a counselor, a director and a colleague in the industry, indeed death is a monster that has robbed us a young star who was determined to ensure that the music industry is well represented in Bungoma County, before he perished on the road accident he had started directing a video of one of my latest song, I can’t even believe that he is gone may his soul rest in eternal peace, ” he mourned
The fallen hero who directed and produced a number of songs was also a performing artist and he gave many other artists a platform to start nurturing their talents by organizing music concerts that attracted a good number of audience. Billy Mukhwana, a singer and a song writer eulogized him as a champion of success and a person who sacrificed his time and his resources to ensure that his colleagues grow.
“Paul has been my best friend for a very long time and many times he forced himself out of the comfort zone just to ensure that he helps us in pushing our talents to some other levels, sometimes back he even helped me get some more subscribers and viewers on my personal you tube account, something which motivated me and gave me morale to work even harder. It’s a sad day to me,” he said.
Mukhwana also blamed the reckless Bodaboda riders who ignore the basic safety rules on the road and urged the authorities to be strict with such people.
” Am very angry with the ignorant Bodaboda riders. It’s because of one such individual that we are here today mourning the loss of a brother who was slowly climbing up the ladder of success. It’s my plea that the police officers should now start observing this kind of people, they should arrest them and punish them accordingly. We don’t want to cry again for the loss of life.” He urged
The body of the fallen talented star is to be laid on Saturday 10th June 2023 at Sirende village, Tongaren Constituency in Bungoma County.
