Kolanya Boys are the new Busia County Rugby Sevens champions after beating St. Mary’s Mundika 21-0 in the final.
Kolanya had beaten Nambale Boys 14-0 in the semi-finals with Mundika beating Butula Boys 14-5 in the other semis.
In last year’s competition Kolanya boys finished second in the County level behind Butula Boys that represented the nation in East Africa secondary school games.
Butula Boys failed to defend their volleyball title after being thrashed 3-0 by former regional champions Sigalame at the finals as Bumala Girls emerged girls champions defeating St Peter’s Busibi 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-19).
The netball title went to defending regional champions Bumala AC, which beat St. Joseph’s Chakol 79-10 in the final.
John Osogo High from Budalang’i are the new soccer champions after beating Madende from Nambale Sub County 1-0 in the finals.
In the ladies category, St. Joseph’s Chakol was crowned County queens after trouncing Katakwa 4-0 with a brace from Naome Akuleut in the 48th and 55th minute while Kaurechi, and Rabecca Odunga accounting for a goal each in the 62nd and 78th minutes respectively.
