Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has appointed the County Disaster and Emergency Committee comprising 11 members.
The constituted committee is tasked with approving Disaster and Emergency Management plan, setting policies of Disaster and Emergency Management, reporting disasters and emergency events among others.
The functions will be devolved at Ward level, to enhance efficiency in the department.
