Bumula Constituency residents have been sensitized on matters of insurance and how they are supposed to be helped when they experience challenges with insurance companies.
Speaking during a sensitization function that brought together different stakeholders and residents in St. Pauls Kibabii Diploma Teachers Training College in Syombe, Kimaeti ward in Bumula Constituency, the Chairperson of Insurance Regulatory Authority IRA Mwambu Mabonga revealed the essence of insurance as he explained that it is important for every Kenyan to get Insurance services according to the ability of his money.
Mwambu said as the Authority they have the ability of retrieving a license from any insurance company that won’t handle their clients accordingly saying many Kenyans have no knowledge of where to place their claim once in need of their insurance premium adding that it was the reason of coming up with the movement of sensitizing Kenyans in grassroots.

The exercise targets Kenyans with low income in the effort of reaching out to all Kenyans as it is the agenda of Kenya Kwanza government of Bottom Up Economic Model.
The IRA Chair said the Council of Chairpersons will be hosting a sensitization and empowerment program on Saturday in Bungoma town to raise awareness of government policies and programs with a focus of empowering women and youth in small and micro-enterprises.
