Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has called on Mulembe politicians to walk the talk and ensure that they maintain the much hyped Luhya unity.
Speaking at Chwele girls during a funds drive graced by National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, Lusaka challenged his fellow politicians not to just talk about the unity in the media but instead ensure that it happens.
“Uniting is one thing but maintaining unity is another uphill task, It is my wish and prayer that it holds the test of time. ” Said Lusaka.
The fresh Luhya unity quest is being spearheaded by FORD-Kenya party leader Moses Wetang’ula in collaboration with a host of other leaders from the region.

The Governor further said he will fully support the initiative saying a united community was important to the development agenda of the region.
“If we speak with one voice we definitely have a bigger bargaining power at the national front. “ He said.
The Governor gave a personal donation of 300k.
The event was attended by among others Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, and a host of Members of Parliament.
