The national government has set aside more than shs 100 m for the construction of a Technical Training Institute (TTI) in Webuye East as Magemo Secondary school donates 5 acres of land for the same.
The place where the institute was to be constructed was so much politicized but at long last the area MP Martin Pepela through consultation with Webuye East education stakeholders and residents reached a consensus of putting it up at Magemo in Mihuu ward, where today together with other stakeholders and leaders from the region visited and inspected the site and confirmed the allocation of the said amount and assured residents of improving of the health sector in the region.
He rubbished off propagandists who were saying that the President’s visit in Bungoma County had no impact for Webuye East Constituency and confirmed that TTI was among his agenda during his 2 day tour since as he promised it is a reality, it is yet to be constructed.
He assured contractors from the area that they will be given priority as youths from the area welcomed the construction of the TTI in the area.
Bungoma County Education and Vocational and Training Centres CEC Dr. Wamamili Wanyonyi told youths to embrace technical education for it offers skills for self employment.
Residents led by Hudson Sasaka and George Khasabuli appreciated the President and area MP for considering to put up a TTI in the area and assured him of their support.
