The Central Committee of the Confederation of African Football, CAF, is expected to announce the countries that will host the finals of the African Cup in 2025 and 2027.
The CAF committee met in Cairo to discuss the development of various competitions including the preparations for Ivory Coast next year and the first edition of the African Premier League.
According to the President of CAF, Dr. Patrice Motsepe, the committee will meet again on September 27 to announce the nations that will have been given the chance to organize the AFCON finals in 2025 &2027
The contestants of the 2025 finals are Morocco, Algeria and Zambia with a joint application from Nigeria and Benin.
Algeria is also vying to organize the 2027 finals together with Egypt and a joint application from Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda.
