President William Ruto has signed into law four health bills which according to plan will help the country achieve Universal Health Coverage.
The four health bills signed into law by the President are: The Social Health Insurance Act, 2023, Digital Health Act, 2023, Facility Improvement Financing Act, 2023 and the Primary Health Care Services Act, 2023
The bills which have been termed as a game changer on matters health are aimed at laying ground for reforms to financing and delivery of health services in the country.
The event took place at State House in Nairobi a day before the Celebration of Mashujaa Day where the theme is dubbed Universal Health Coverage.
