Webuye East MP Martin Pepela Wanyonyi has urged Webuye East Constituency residents and Bungoma county as a whole to support Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula in his political plans and ambition of leading the country.
During a phone interview on Mumbo FM on Friday morning in the breakfast show dubbed Kemumbo, Wanyonyi urged them to support Ford Kenya party and assured them that Counties across the country have embraced Ford Kenya and its leader therefore they have hopes of Wetangula clinching a presidential seat in 2032 saying as they are moving across the country they are building unity of purpose and making friendship for the benefit of their people.
However, he said that it is his mandate to finish all stalled projects started by his predecessor; Ndivisi Boys and Ndivisi Girls dormitories where he said that the contractor was not competitive therefore he relieved him and gave the work to another contractor who is going on with the construction. He also mentioned the projects he has started putting up in the area; Bakisa and Muji secondary schools storey buildings where he said procurement is already done and waiting for students to finish the ongoing KCSE exams and construction will start immediately, Magemo TTI procurement is underway and by January will be through for launching, he said the contractor is already on the site at Misikhu police station and work is in progress adding that there are many projects in the pipeline and all are in his syllabus therefore assured his people that they won’t regret electing him.
He also expressed his sympathy for Kenyans going through tough times due to the high cost of living and said that as they met the Head of State on Tuesday they raised the issue to him whereby they wanted something to be done for Kenyans as he praised the President’s plan of giving subsidized fertilizer to farmers across the country which led to a bumper harvest though farmers sold their maize at a throw away price to middlemen saying that they urged the President to have a post harvest plan where the government should buy maize from farmers at a better price.
He appreciated Webuye East Constituency residents for giving him an opportunity to serve them as their MP as he urged them to reduce political temperatures but support all elected leaders so that they deliver their agenda promised during campaigns.
