Busia County Government has promised to ensure the equal share of funds from the central government to boost development in every area of the County. The Minister for Finance and Planning in Busia County, Topista Wanyama asserted that some funds from the central government are not received due to lack of signed agreement between the national government and the county government.
Speaking to journalists in Busia on the sidelines of a public meeting to give opinions on the agreement between Busia County Government and the national Government regarding conditional grants from the central government, Mrs. Wanyama said that the grants which are an addition to funds from other central government allocations to the county government will boost up development in every Ward in Busia.
Wanyama further said that lack of an agreement between the Busia county government and the central government regarding the grant is causing delays in some development projects in this county citing the example of the Nasewa industrial park.
