A sorrowful mood has enveloped Mufutu village in Lugari sub location, Lugari Sub County after a 35 year old man from the village was killed and his body dumped in Lugari forest.
Confirming the incident, Lugari Sub County Police Commander Bernard Ngungu said the deceased Sosness Kidagwa who is a casual labourer at the Lugari Forest tree nursery left home for work on Thursday but didn’t return before his body was discovered dumped in the forest by herdsmen Friday mid-morning.
He said the body had visible injuries on the mouth and private parts indicating he was killed.
“The body had visible injuries on the mouth and swollen private parts indicating someone might have pulled them,” said Ngungu adding that the body was found about 20 meters from where his bicycle and working tools were.
The body was removed from the scene and taken to Kimbilio mortuary in the neighbouring Uasin Gishu County for postmortem as investigations into the incident were launched.
