A thirty five year old man from Nandi County has managed to secure KDF job in the ongoing Kenya Defence Forces recruitment exercise after a period of fourteen consecutive years of attempt without success.
Gideon Sang, 35, hails from Emgwen constituency and he didn’t hide his happiness after securing the job thus thanking God for enabling him succeed this year.
Sang while speaking with journalists in Kapsabet showground after turning up for the recruitment exercise as usual, said he was not expecting to succeed as he has been trying yearly for fourteen good years without success and had thought the results will turn out as usual but to his surprise, he didn’t believe his eyes.
“Am an NYS graduate and it has been a good day for me to be recruited into the Kenya Defence force today after many years of being turned away and God’s timing is the best.” Sang affirmed.
He said that though many youths were rejected in the recruitment due to many reasons including medical problems, he is glad that God has finally answered his prayers and is looking forward for the job.
On the other hand KDF recruiting officer for Nandi county Branch Lieutenant Colonel Hesbon Waswa said the exercise went on well without any difficulties thus lauded the public for conducting themselves with high integrity.
He affirmed that the exercise was free and fair warning of canvassing and asked the public to be on the lookout and avoid being conned.
“I urge members of the public to report anyone extorting money with the promise of adding in recruitment.” He added.
