Winners of the 2017 general elections in West Pokot County have thronged the streets of makutano township to celebrate their victory.
Accompanied by their supporters the winners led by West Pokot Governor elect Prof John Lonyangapuo and senator elect Samuel Poghisio both from KANU party made a triumphant entry at the County tallying centre at Mtelo hall even before the final results were announced.

Other newly elected leaders who turned up for the declaration of west pokot leaders include MPS Kapenguria Samuel Moroto, Sigor Peter Lochakapong. Kacheliba Mark Lomunokol and newly elected Women Representative Lilian Tomitom and newly elected members of County assembly
Lonyangapuo provisional results stand at 83813 votes and Kachapin stand at 61126 votes with only 31 polling centers remaining to cue in their gubernatorial results .
