Two candidates from Kapsabet Boys High school among top twenty nationally

Kapsabet Boys High School in Nandi County has done it again after producing two top achievers candidates in KCSE results which was announced by education Cabinet Secretary Professor George Magoha on Monday.

The two top performers were ranked at position seven and twelfth in top twenty nationally putting Kapsabet Boys and the entire county of Nandi on a map of education.

Kenneth Oranga was ranked at position seven in top ten nationally with a mean grade of A with 87 points while George came in position twelve with a mean grade of A with 86 points.

The school chief principal Mr Kipchumba Maiyo lauded the results saying it was through students, teachers and education stakeholders tireless efforts together with God`s grace that they managed to maintain their academic performance excellence and as a school and the entire fraternity of the institutions are very much grateful.

He lauded the efforts of teachers for their excellent work and discipline of students despite Covid-19 pandemic challenges urging them to maintain the same spirit.

He said that the school managed to score a total of 65 A’s, 133 A-s, 99 B+s, 42 Bs, 8 B-s, 3 C+s, 1 C and 1 C- respectively with a total candidature of 352.

“The best candidate from Nandi was ranked at position seven nationally and another one at top fifteen but we had also the best candidate at under age ranking” Kipchumba said.

Kapsabet Boys High School emerged third position countrywide in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) 2020 with a mean grade of 10.

The Kenya National Union of teachers Nandi county Branch has thanked the school for posting sterling results and its efforts of being on top always putting Nandi in the map of education giants.

St Josephs Girls High School Chepterit was also on the list of performers after producing the best candidate in the under age category who managed to score an A.

St Josephs Girls High school Chepterit 2020 results were as follows: A plain 2, A-s 24,B+s 42, B plain 25,C+s 10,C plain 3 and C-1 respectively.

Nandi governor Stephen Sang has lauded the schools top performance urging to keep up and maintain the same spirit.
