The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) Examinations have kicked off smoothly in Nandi.
Nandi Commissioner Mr. Harman Shambi has confirmed the smooth kick off of the examinations saying all is well and set for the smooth running of the entire exercise in the region.
Shambi affirmed that security has been beefed up in all the examination centers in a bid to man the areas for security of candidates saying the exercise has commenced well without any challenges.
“So far we have not received any case of candidates sitting their examinations in hospitals due to sicknesses or deliveries and we hope that such issues will not arise at all until the completion of examination period. It is our prayer that God will take good care of our candidates.” He added.
So far, three examinations and assessments are underway, the candidates being expected to sit their Mathematics, English and English composition papers today being day one of the exercise.
Nandi County has over thirty thousand KCPE and KPSEA registered candidates sitting their examinations in over seven hundred examination centers across Nandi and the exercise will be coming to a close on Wednesday this week.
