Modesta Shitambasi one of the five lucky winners of Kshs 2M each in the concluded “Shikisha form na Senator ushinde reloaded” promotion has received Kshs 1M cheque from the Kenya Breweries Limited.
Speaking at her favorite joint ‘Season 3 Klub’ in Malava Sub County where she received the cheque from the KBL officials Shitambasi could not hide her joy.
“I’m really grateful, I didn’t expect to be among the lucky winners,” said Shitambasi adding that she tirelessly participated in the competition despite being discouraged by her friends who always laughed at her saying she was wasting her money by participating in the campaign.
The mother of four said she will invest the money wisely in worthwhile projects that will enable her generate income, pay school fees for her children and also pay tithe.
“First of all, I must give God his share, then I have four children and two of them are candidates so I will be able to pay their fees without any problem,” she said adding the remainder will be invested in profitable projects.
Steve Shitanda who led the KBL team congratulated Shitambasi for participating in the promotion and being among the five lucky winners picked randomly.
“Today we are here in Kakamega County to congratulate our sister Modesta who was among our five lucky winners of Kshs. 10 million,” said Shitanda who is in charge of marketing.
He said the winners will each take home Ksh. 1 million and set aside the other kshs 1 million to a community development project of their choice as per the promotion’s terms and conditions.
He said the promotion aimed at improving the lives of the loyal customers and the local communities across the country adding that the company has delivered on its promise of providing support, growth, and enriching its customers.
“This was our second campaign since last year and we have seen the impact that the first campaign had on our consumers, especially the community development projects,”
“Like for example sometime back we were in Korogocho to launch two elderly homes that we built and again we have a soap processing factory in Mombasa that we did and also a fish pond that we did in Siaya,” said Shitanda.
He said apart from the millions there are other customers who won various prizes ranging from airtime, cash, home makeovers among others.
A roadshow organized by Senator Keg in collaboration with West Media Limited started at Lubao market in Malava Sub County, Kakamega County where it made stopovers at various joints and rewarded dozens of customers who were found taking Senator Keg.
After presenting the dummy cheque to Shitambasi at the Season 3 Klub in Malava the team proceeded with the roadshow up to Webuye in Bungoma County and later joined customers at Anarima bar in Butali till mid-night.
Mr. Shitanda used the opportunity to assure customers that Senator was quality, affordable and safe drink to take.
“Senator is a quality drink and where we are now here in Western is where we get sorghums that is used for making the drink in our factory situated in Kisumu,” said Shitanda
