President William Ruto on Wednesday made a reshuffle in his executive, redeployed and appointed Ambassadors.
According to the press release on the reorganization of the government of Kenya, Ruto appointed Cabinet Secretary Hon. Musalia Mudavadi as the Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs as Hon. Alfred Mutua was moved to the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife which was headed by Penina Malonza who has been moved to the Ministry of East African Community, The ASALs and Regional Development and Rebecca Miano who was serving as the CS in this Ministry moved to the Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry which saw Moses Kuria moved to the Ministry of Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management.
Alice Wahome who was the CS for Water, Sanitation and Irrigation was moved to the Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development which was headed by Zacharia Mwangi Njeru who is now under the latter.
In the reshuffle, Aisha Jumwa Katana who was the CS in the Ministry of Public Service, Gender and Affirmative Action was relinquished from two departments of Public Service and Affirmative Action and replaced by Culture, the Arts and Heritage.
The Head of State too reassigned Principal Secretaries where Harsama Kello was assigned PS in the State Department for the ASALs and Regional Development, Julius Korir in the State Department for Water and Sanitation, Geoffrey Kaituko, State Department for Shipping and Maritime Affairs, Shadrack Mwadime PS in the State Department for Labour and Skills Development, Dr. Paul Rono, State Department for Crops Development, Idris Salim PS in the State Department for Cabinet Affairs, Anne Wang’ombe PS State Department for Gender and Affirmative Action, Ms. Veronica Nduva PS State Department for Performance and Delivery Management.
President Ruto nominated and redeployed Ambassadors and High Commissioners too where he nominated Amb. Tabu Irina to Dublin, Ireland, Amb. Willy Chebet to Beijing, China, Ms, Joyce Khasimwa to Luanda, Angola, and nominated Dr. Jayne Khasoa Lusenaka as the Deputy Ambassador in UNESCO, Paris, Dr. Alome Kasera as the Deputy Ambassador to Paris, France, Amb. Edwin Afande as the Deputy Ambassador to London, United Kingdom among others.
The changes take effect immediately.
