Covid-19 cases in Kenya have reached 36,393 after 92 people tested positive in the last 24 hours. Speaking on Wednesday during the Covid-19 briefing, Health CAS Dr. Mercy Mwangangi said 2,985 samples had been tested within the last day. She said all are Kenyans except 4 who are foreigners. 64 are males and 28 are females, with the youngest being a 2-year old and the oldest 75 years old.
The number of recoveries has risen to 23,529 after 165 patients recovered. 105 were discharged from hospitals and 60 from the home based care program. However, 3 patients have succumbed to the virus, with fatalities now at 637.
In the Counties, Nairobi has recorded the highest new cases with 25, followed by Mombasa County with 20 cases. Nakuru has 8, Garissa has 7, Uasin Gishu has 6, Kisumu has 5, Turkana has 4, Kiambu has 4, Kakamega has 3, Machakos has 2, Kajiado has 2, Busia has 2, Nyeri, Kilifi, Taita Taveta and Tana River have 1 case each.
