As the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education and Kenya Primary School Education Assessment [KPSEA] examination enters its third and last day of the exercise, a KCPE candidate from Rugunga Primary School in Busia County has died.
The candidate is said to have been rushed to Port Victoria Hospital a few hours before sitting her exams for the third and last day of the national exams where he passed on.
The candidate whose name has not been revealed succumbed from sickle cell disease that he has been suffering from for sometime.
Rugunga Primary is located in Bunyala South Ward in Budalangi constituency Busia county.
Meanwhile, the Principal Secretary for the State Department for Micro, Medium, and Small Enterprises has confirmed an incident where one candidate is taking her final paper of the KCPE/KPSEA exams while in hospital after giving birth.
She said this while speaking to West TV in Busia County.
