Security agencies in Chesumei sub-county have launched investigations on the murder of a middle aged man by unknown assailants whose body was found dumped in Mosoriot area and a survivor who was seriously injured.
Addressing journalists in his office, the OCPD Chesumei sub-county Mr Bosita Omukolongolo said the murder case incident was reported to their desk on Saturday where the police visited the scene and found the body of a middle aged man dumped in Mosoriot area.
Omukolongolo said besides the deceased there was another man lying helplessly due to heavy injuries inflicted on him by the unknown gangsters and was rushed to Kapsabet County Referral Hospital where he is receiving medication and is recuperating.
He added that the survivor together with the deceased had deep wounds suspected to have been caused by a blunt object which indicates they were attacked by unknown gangsters.
“We have launched a man hunt for the culprits and we urge the public who may have any leads that will help us bring to book the assailants to report to any nearest police station in their area,” he urged
The body of the deceased was retrieved from the scene and taken to Kapsabet County Referral Hospital mortuary to await postmortem.
The public have been urged to avoid risks of walking at night as it is too dangerous for their lives.
