A police inspector attached to Kwanza police station was murdered by his colleague at an incident that has puzzled many.
While confirming the incident, OCPD Kwanza Sub-County James Odero said the two officers, an inspector with his colleague an ASTU anti stock theft unit attached at Keiyo ward of the same Sub-County joined together at a local pub as they drank beer before confrontation started between them.
He added that an ASTU police was drunk and refused to pay his bills to the waiter before the deceased involved in the case by requesting him to pay for his bills which the suspect declined and quarrel ensued, the deceased was pushed down to the ground before the suspect attacked him by stabbing him with broken beer bottles while on the floor.
Odero said that while learning he had injured his colleague, the suspect rushed to the police station to make a formal report that he was attacked before being apprehended and locked in the station
The body of the deceased is lying at Cherangany hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem while the suspect is being held at Kitale police post awaiting to be presented in court.
