A teacher in Luanda commits suicide after setting his house ablaze

Police officers have launched an investigation to apprehend the criminals

A teacher in Vihiga County who was due to retire has committed suicide after setting his house on fire.

The teacher who teaches at Hobunaka Secondary School in Luanda Sub County, set his house a blaze while he was still inside on Sunday night.

The County Police boss Mr. Hassan Barua, confirmed the incident, saying the police have launched an investigation into the incident, adding that the deceased Mr. Daniel Ingoro was a Biology and Geography teacher who was set to retire in six months time.

“The victim was seen buying petrol from a nearby petrol station, he must have locked himself in his house and set it ablaze,” he said. He said the teacher divorced his wife 40 years ago and never remarried.
