More than 2000 Agricultural Development Cooperation (ADC) workers at Japata camp in Trans Nzoia County are living in fear of being evicted from the camp. The move is likely to worsen the tough conditions they face arising from a lack of permanent houses and poor pay, and leaders from the region have urged ADC to resolve the stalemate.
ADC workers have for years gone through difficult situations caused by poor working conditions and poor pay. Workers who have no homes but instead say in a camp in Japata, are now weighing up possibilities of an eviction. They’ve urged leaders to chip in and help find a solution to their poor pay dilemma.
At the moment, the National Assembly has already received complaints from ADC workers through Trans Nzoia County woman representative Janet Nangabo.
