Ahadi Kenya Trust has donated a mobile ambulance to Vihiga county government in a move to improve health services in the area. The trust Chief Executive Officer Stanley Kamau said the ambulance will supplement the other five ambulances they had donated to the county last year. “We want to ensure health services are improved in the county by providing mobile ambulances that can reach targeted residents in the grassroots,”said Kamau.
He said they have 47 mobile ambulances that they will distribute to all counties countrywide to reduce maternal deaths and help in case of emergencies. He added that the distribution of the ambulances will also facilitate the Beyond Zero campaign initiated by The First Lady Margaret Kenyatta.

Speaking to the press in Mbale town, he said the modern mobile ambulance is fitted with first aid and maternity kits for emergency cases. He said the trust will also distribute the ambulances in Kakamega, Bungoma, and Busia to cover western region.
He added that one ambulance costs Kshs. 400,000 and they have used Kshs. 8.8million for the purchase of all ambulances. He said they have partnered with the lotto foundation to purchase the ambulances and called other partners to chip in and help safeguard the lives of Kenyans.
