Schools in Aldai constituency in Nandi County have received cheques worth Kshs 60 million from the Aldai CDF office meant for completion of school projects. Speaking during the issuance of the cheques to school development committees at the Aldai CDF office, the area MP Cornelius Serem said that the cheques are meant for the completion of the 2019/2020 projects ahead of the reopening of schools in September.
He tasked the school development committee to ensure the money is well utilized warning those who will think of embezzling the funds that they’ll be held accountable. “Any coin used should be accounted for and it’s the task of the development committee and school heads to ensure money is well spent for the intended purpose,” he said.
The MP later on checked on the status of the ongoing projects at Murguiywo, Chematich primary schools and Aldai, Kipletito, and Ibanja secondary schools respectively where he lauded the well done work on this sites.
