Vihiga United Player Amos Kigadi has been awarded by for his good performances in the SportPesa Premier League that helped the team avoid relegation. Amos Kigadi who plays as a striker for the Western-based side received Ksh 100,000 and 49” flat screen LG television courtesy of SportPesa and LG. He said the award comes to him as a surprise and he had his mind focused on helping his team avoid relegation, “I never thought I could be recognized for my efforts so late in the season,” he said. He led the way ahead of Kariobangi Sharks’ Eric Kapaito and Timothy Otieno from Tusker FC.
It was noted that Amos Kigadi showed an impressive side to his game during the last matches played between the month of September and October, just before the season ended. Kigadi said he looks forward to seeing his team among the first eight next season from the current position 12 and aiming to be the top striker in the league.
