The Archbishop of the Anglican Church in Kenya, Jackson Ole Sapit, has expressed support for the United States’ decision to suspend foreign aid to Africa, stating that it is time for African leaders to seek internal solutions to the problems facing the continent.
Speaking at St. Paul’s College in Limuru, Archbishop Sapit claimed that foreign aid, particularly from the U.S. and Europe, has in some instances been channeled to personal use instead of the intended purposes.
The religious leader further emphasized that Africa has the capacity to stand on its own when it comes to addressing critical issues, provided that appropriate strategies are implemented.
