For the second day in a week, anti-IEBC demonstrations were held in different parts of the country. Demonstrators have lined streets across the country calling for the resignation of IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba and reforms at the electoral body. The demos started officially on Monday, and are set to be held every Monday and Friday. NASA leader James Orengo while addressing the press after meeting the Electoral Commission officials earlier this week said they won’t be intimidated and they’ll continue exercising their constitutional right.

On Friday, some protestors and people masquerading as peaceful protestors in Nairobi and Kisumu were involved in looting, as police officers engaged in running battles with NASA supporters. The trend is expected to continue on Monday as focus shifts to the electoral body leaders, NASA and Jubilee leaders to see the next move which will be made as we head towards the polls.
