The Athletics Kenya (AK) president Mr. Jackson Tuwei has revealed that the institution is going to set up a small task force committee to look into the plight and challenges facing the Athletes in the country.

Tuwei asked athletes in such situations to open up and speak out so as to be assisted saying suffering silently will cost them as it is good to share the problem in order to get assistance.

He said that the slain athlete was a hardworking lady who had just rose up in her career and was doing well as she had represented the country in many events around the globe and as Athletics Kenya will miss her so much.

The AK president revealed that in memory of the athlete, the AK will honor her by organizing the Agnes Tirop memorial Tour in Eldoret Town as a way of remembering her tremendous achievements in the world of athletics.

“In memory of the fallen heroin, we will organize for a memorial tour in Eldoret town to remember her.” Tuwei added.

Late Agnes Tirop was found murdered in her house at Iten by the suspected lover who is currently in police custody assisting the police with investigations and is the family’s prayer that justice prevails.
