BBI dominates Wangamati’s mother burial


Thousands of mourners including national leaders converged at Uwanja Ndege grounds in Bungoma for the funeral mass of Mama Selina Nasike Wangamati mother to Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati.

Family members led by the eldest son Andrew Saisi eulogized their mother as a strict but loving mother who made sure they grew up well as God-fearing children.

His sentiments were echoed by daughters inlaw led by his wife Praxidis who said she was a good mother who had admirable leadership skills and made sure everything was in order at their home.

The widower Patrick Wangamati said his late wife was a hardworking lady whom they coordinated well to raise their children saying they made sure their children never lacked.

ODM party leader Raila Odinga took the opportunity to popularize the BBI report saying it’s recommendations are best suited to have this country move forward including raising the percentage from 15 to 35 as well as having a ward development fund for MCA’s.

Governors including Wycliffe Oparanya, James Ongwae, Anyang Nyong, Cyprian Awiti and Wilbur Otichilo thanking all the county assembly who passed the bill saying it will help move the country forward.

Members of parliament present promising to pass the bill when it will be presented in parliament saying they are optimistic that the referendum will also be passed.
