Political leaders drawn from Western Kenya have assured residents of development.
In unison, they reiterated their commitment on service delivery for all, terming it as their obligation.
“We are in Government; it’s time to reap in equal measure of the National Government development cake. We are obliged to deliver on our sole mandate,” assured Wetang’ula.
The National Assembly Speaker echoed on the importance of unity while urging the Western Kenya frontier to stick together to realize development.
“United we stand, divided we fall. We must soldier on as a belt to actualize the dreams of our people.” He emphasized.
In the same breath, the Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi noted that Western leaders need to engage in the same discourse to marshal more resources to develop the Counties.
“We have a purpose to deliver for our people. Let us unite and appropriate more resources to enhance development,” said Mudavadi.

Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka affirmed that through joint efforts with the National Government, the long stalled Misikhu-Brigadier road is now on course and that the contractor is on site.
“After the long wait, I am happy to report that works on the major road that connects Tongaren to other areas has commenced. We will monitor the contractor closely to ensure the standard is maintained.” He said.
Lusaka further cautioned the contractor against doing shoddy work, saying, sub standard won’t be allowed.
“Do quality work or exit. We will pitch camp to ensure the road is completed on time to open up the economy in the region,” he observed.

They spoke in Tongaren Constituency, while gracing the Homecoming and Thanksgiving ceremony of Ford Kenya Party Secretary General, Tongaren MP Dr. John Murumba Chikati.
