As KCPE and KCSE examinations are ready to kick-off, parents in Bungoma County have been advised not to fall prey to cons who may pretend to have access to examinations and promise to deliver to them in advance at a fee.
Speaking at Moi DEB Primary School during the school’s prayer day session, one of the parents Martin Wanyonyi said the teachers have played their part by preparing the candidates saying they should trust that the candidates will post the best results.
He added that despite the corona break the pupils resumed their learning in dew course and completed their syllabus saying together with other parents they are optimistic that they will post exemplary results.
However, Wanyonyi who is also a human rights activist called upon parents to ensure they give guidance to the children after the examination saying they will be at home until July when they will be joining high school, advising that they need not to fall into issues such as early pregnancies.
He also cautioned men who have a habit of preying on school-going children that their days are numbered.
Due to the government’s directive, the school heads are under strict instructions not to address the media but they divulged that the preparations are complete for the examination.
KCPE examinations will begin on March 22 and end on March 24 while KCSE from March 26 to April 21.
