Kimilili MP Didmus Wekesa Barasa has called upon President Uhuru Kenyatta to stop blame games on the current situation in the country saying things turned worse after his handshake with ODM leader Raila Odinga which led to effect many changes on government leadership structures.
Speaking in Kimilili after meeting UDA candidates vying on various seats in the County, Hon. Barasa said the onslaught started from the Deputy President and trickled down to Members of Parliament who were competent and in charge of various committees in parliament but due to their affiliation they were chased away.
He said the President should now ask those he delegated the duties to for non performance saying it is in public domain that these issues that are currently being experienced were not there before.
Hon. Barasa further said that with the politics taking shape in the country at the moment, UDA party under Kenya Kwanza coalition has laid down strategies to clinch the various seats in the County saying their competitors should brace themselves for a tough battle.
“We were on gear one but moving forward we will engage gear six and those who are complaining will find themselves in political oblivion since it is not going to be business as usual,” he said
Elsewhere, students in high schools, middle level colleges and universities from the constituency were elated after the launch of a 21 million bursary kitty which he says will go a long way to boost their education.
Kimilili legislator said due to the outbreak of Covid-19 in the country many plans were thrown in disarray but fortunately those who applied were given the boost and cautioned the school head teachers against sending the students home.
