Blue Band has initiated a campaign to inform Kenyans about their new flour product, Blue Band instant porridge flour that is quick to prepare and does not need cooking in its preparations.
The flour that comes in a 250gm package now retails at 70 shillings in shops.
According to the marketing team in Kakamega led by Edith and Sharon Mboya, the company is targeting people of all walks including business people, students, children and even the old with the easy to make porridge.
One needs hot boiled water, a container and flavour of their choice to enjoy a cup of porridge that takes minutes to prepare.

Speaking at Khayega market where they displayed the goods to the business community, Edith and Sharon explained that the flour consists of maize flour and wheat, and does not have any additives to cater for people with various conditions and it is rich in nutrients.
They added that it is suitable to all family members including children and the old who need energy.
The Blue Band team is visiting markets in Kakamega County, on Sunday they were at Khayega market before moving to Musoli market and Khwisero on Tuesday, on Wednesday they visited Shianda market while Thursday they will be at Kipkaren market in Lugari Sub County.
Kakamega town will host the team on Saturday and they will be back to Khayega on Sunday before closing bit in Koyonzo market next week on Monday.
Residents have been amused by the product saying that it has easened their work.
Isaac Osiro praises the flour saying it saves on fuel costs and gives him an ample time in the morning when he wants to go to the market.
“I no longer disturb anyone to prepare breakfast for me, all l need is boiled water and lam good to go,” he said.
This was hailed by Hellen Auma a fish trader at Khayega market. Auma says that she carries the flour to the market and serves herself at any time she feels hungry.
