Boda boda operators plying the road from Misikhu market through Lumuli towards Makemo market passing through Ndivisi and Mihuu wards in Webuye East have complained about the poor state of the road traversing the two wards, saying they are impassable. Speaking at Misikhu market led by their leaders Isaac Masinde and Maurice Wanjala, they said their work has become harder since the road has a lot of potholes and in most cases they are forced to hike fare.
They said that even after making forays to the leaders’ offices to voice their complaints, nothing has changed, noting that the road even passes by an MP’s home. They said many leaders have neglected the state of the road but it serves many residents and the business people who come to the market to buy or sell their goods. They have called on leaders, especially Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati to intervene and come up with a plan to rehabilitate the road and ease their burden.
