A sorrowful mood engulfed Soy Sambu village in Mawe Tatu sub location, Likuyani sub county after the body of a 55 year old man was found dangling on a tree under unclear circumstances.
The body of Musa Mukalaya was discovered by his six year old daughter who was returning home after spending the night in the neighborhood where she had sought refuge after a disagreement broke out between her parents.
The minor said her mother Linah Chesiro returned home from a salon late in the evening before disagreement erupted between the two parents who started quarreling as they chased after each other up to late in the night.
The young girl said fearing for her life she decided to seek refuge in the neighbourhood where she spent the night.

However, she said before she left, her father who had been chasing after her mother returned and untied one of the sheep and left with the rope.
The girl said as she was returning home from where she had slept she was shocked to discover her father’s body dangling from one of the trees in their farm before she alerted neighbours.
According to the deceased’s sister Asha Muyoka, her brother’s body had serious visible injuries indicating that he might have been killed before his body was hanged on the tree by unknown people.
“There were injuries all over the body, and all his clothes had been soaked in blood,” said Muyoka.
According to the family members, after the confrontation, the deceased’s wife didn’t return home and by the time his body was discovered she couldn’t be traced.
The body was removed by officers from Nangili police station and taken to Kitale hospital mortuary as they launched investigations into the incident.
