The bodies were found unexpectedly during a search for another body

Police in Nandi have retrieved the body of a middle aged man which was found dumped in Kimondi forest near Kamobo jamia mosque in Emgwen, Nandi County. Nandi Central police Boss Mr Stephen Wambua confirmed the incident saying the body was discovered by herders who reported to the police.

The police acted immediately by rushing to the scene where they found the naked body with machete cuts. It’s suspected that the deceased may have been murdered elsewhere and his body ferried to the scene where it was found dumped. Wambua said early reports revealed that the body belongs to a nurse by the name Mr Ferdinan Ondieki who until his death, was working at Riat dispensary in Kisumu County.

He was missing since Wednesday last week and the last tracking traces indicated he was in Kaptumo area in Nandi. The body was taken to Kapsabet County Referral Hospital mortuary. The police have launched investigations into the matter in a bid to identify and bring the culprits to book.
