The Malava community came together today, Sunday, to honor the life and legacy of their beloved Member of Parliament, Hon. Moses Malulu Injendi. The funeral service took place at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Isanjiro, Malava Parish, with thousands of residents flooding the roads from Kakamega to the Isanjiro area to pay their final respects. The somber occasion saw the community united in grief as they bid farewell to a leader who dedicated his life to public service and the betterment of his constituents.
Following the service, the body of the late Hon. Malulu Injendi made its way to his home in Lugusi Village, Chemuche ward, Kakamega, where he will be laid to rest on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. The procession was received by a sea of mourners who lined the roads to honor the former MP.
Hon. Malulu Injendi, remembered for his hard work and commitment to the community, left behind a remarkable legacy. His contributions to education and development in Malava are still felt today. Leonard Kasaya former MCA Shirugu Mugai ward and Current Chief of staff Vihiga County, praised the late MP for his unwavering dedication to improving the education system in the constituency.
The funeral service will culminate in the burial on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. Political leaders will be given the opportunity to offer their condolences on Monday, March 3, while on the day of the burial, only President William Ruto, family members, and the Church will be allowed to speak.
Hon. Malulu passed away two weeks ago while receiving treatment at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi. His death has left a profound void in the Malava constituency, but his impact and legacy continue to inspire the community.
