Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua told off President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga to accept criticism as it is the only way the country will get better and uphold democracy.
Karua who was speaking during the burial of the late Mama Hannah Mudavadi insisted that holding divergent view as hers doesn’t imply that she is working with other leaders and whatever she speaks stands for what she holds and believes in.
“On every proposal let’s have the patience of entertaining dissent. If you propose BBI expect there are those who will dissent like Martha Karua and that should not symbolize support and name calling of belonging to certain people,” said Karua.
Karua further insisted that it was time President Uhuru Kenyatta provided BBI booklets to Kenyans so that come the referendum , Kenyans will vote on an informed point of view rather than the political sycophancy.
She also issued a clarion call to the political class especially the ruling government to prioritize dealing with the harsh and tough economic times Kenyans are going through after and during this Covid-19 pandemic and the effects of excessive borrowing rather than 2022 succession politics so as to ensure Kenyans have something in their pockets to feed and educate their children.
