Mandila added that they will continue supporting many people in the society and appealed to well wishers to join them in making sure that they transform the society especially for the elderly people than contributing to them only when they are dead.” Most of our leaders and those who are able in the community never want to support such a noble idea but whenever one dies they will come in large numbers to make their contributions just for politicians to use the occasion to sell their political agendas which is a very bad idea which run away from and instead support people while they are still alive “, said club chairman Mr. Mandila.
The club also promised to construct a new and better house for the old man so that he could have a better place during the rainy season. The Machakha community led by Moses Ndobha and Lilian Etabale lauded the move made by Brigdier Salams saying it was timely and asked other media houses to emulate the same instead of attending the funerals and making huge contributions which can not help the dead. They asked the local people to join West media in order to benefit from the good projects initiated by West Media and its fans at large.
