Bumula MP Moses Mwambu Mabonga has come out to put the record straight over a proposed project of a Technical Training Institute that was to be set up at Lunakwe in South Bukusu ward but it never was saying relocating it to near the late paramount Chief Sudi Omkhone was an issue well informed.
Speaking in a meet the people tour of Lunakwe, Mwambu said the initial plan of setting up the institute at Lunakwe was aborted after a delegation went to meet the President to present a petition over a land row that led to the President refusal to release one hundred million that was meant to kick start the project.
Hon Mwambu, however said in his efforts to provide a lifeline to the project they had to look for an alternative land and luckily they found it still in the same ward saying the project is ongoing and has committed 10 million shillings from the CDF kitty to ensure it starts well.
However, he said all is not lost and called upon residents of Lunakwe to have stakeholders lead a delegation to the governor who will be in office after the General Elections to have the ownership of the land be transferred from the County government to the national government saying, they will hold another meeting and agree with them on which project to be set up.
Regarding politics, Mwambu called upon residents to vote in candidates under the Kenya Kwanza faction saying they are the only leaders who are focused to deliver on their mandate after the August polls.
He said it is evident enough that Kenyans are yearning for a government that will work to reduce the high cost of living saying the current government has abandoned their needs.
