Youth have been urged to join technical institutes and vocational training centres so that they can get skills that will benefit them in lives.
This is according to Bumula Member of parliament during the launching of four classes in Siyombe ACK in Kimaeti ward in his constituency build by Constituency Development Fund where he stated that education is key in one’s life therefore there is need to invest in.
“It is very important to invest in education, youths who are here it is never too late even if you didn’t manage to continue with your education we have brought technical institutes and vocational training centres; we have Musakasa and Cardinal Otunga join there and train on skills, you see like this work of roofing of these classes was not done by a degree holder, but we are here to mould you into a very important person, that is the essence of leadership,” stated Mwambu
Mwambu revealed that he has tabled a motion in the national assembly where hospitals; both public and private will be responsible of any death resulting from careless handling of a patient and hence pay for medical bills and release the body at no cost or else be fined with Shs. 3 million or imprisoned for 3 years.
However, Assistant County Commissioner for Kimaeti Sub County Samuel Osodo wanted parents and teachers to work together to see that teenage pregnancies reduce among school going girls.
“Teenage pregnancy is now rampant among our girls, I would like to appeal to parents, when with your children try to take good care of them, guide and protect them from predators, therefore parents and teachers this is our responsibility,” advised Osodo
Osodo wanted Bumula residents to continue adhering to the government’s protocols on the ways to curb the spread of Covid-19 as he warned them to be so cautious for Corona virus is real.
He appreciated Bumula MP for development projects he is initiating in his area of legislation as he said that through the MP’S efforts a police station is being put up in Myanga to beef up security in the area.
“Our MP came here with parliament’s security team, remember they don’t go to all constituencies that is why you are seeing a police station put up at Myanga that is for the security of our people and our wealth, it is very important therefore we need to appreciate him because it is part of development, you know we live along the Highway to Uganda and it is an international border and we have international criminals therefore when we have this police station we will take charge and be safe,” he added
Kimaeti location Chief Shaff Fwamba urged Kimaeti locals to support the area MP so that they continue benefiting from his leadership.
