Roselinder Simiyu has been cleared by IEBC to vie for Bungoma Woman Rep seat on ANC ticket under Kenya Kwanza.
Addressing journalists outside Bungoma IEBC offices after she was handed her clearance certificate, Ms. Simiyu urged her fellow aspirants to conduct peaceful campaigns during, before and after August 9 polls and avoid using youths to cause chaos.
She appealed with her supporters to desist from creating chaos and interrupting other leaders’ speeches in functions but wait for the voting day and elect their preferred candidate.
She however urged Bungoma County people to elect a leader who has their interests at heart and the one who can initiate development projects for their good.
She used the opportunity to beseech Bungoma electorates to consider her on 9th August for she promised to change the face of Bungoma in a period of five years.

Ms. Simiyu sympathized with how women in Bungoma are living under pathetic conditions despite having had two Women Representatives for the past ten years since the inception of devolution.
She promised that once elected she will ensure that women are empowered, people living with disabilities especially children get education just like other children and youths have projects to support them.
Other aspirants who were cleared include; former Bungoma Woman Rep Reginalda Wanyonyi, Sween Khayanga, Beryl Mutekhele, Rabecca Masibayi, Nancy Kibaba who will be facing off with the incumbent Catherine Wambilianga in the August polls.
