In a public address at a funeral in Mwiruti, Kabula Ward, in Bumula Constituency, Bungoma County Senator David Wakoli Wafula has officially put on notice the public service board for Bungoma County. This move comes in response to growing concerns over the county’s current hiring practices.
Senator Wafula expressed his dissatisfaction with the ongoing operations of the existing board, accusing it of managing recruitment in an unacceptable manner. Wakoli says it is unacceptable for the members of the board to prioritize hiring their relatives and the children of politicians. He highlighted that over 100 individuals were hired recently without following the required procedures, a practice he described as secretive and unjust.
“The youth of Bungoma County deserve fairness and transparency in all job opportunities,” Wafula stated. He emphasized that every recruitment process should adhere to established protocols to ensure equal opportunities for all eligible candidates.
This announcement underscores Wafula’s commitment to improving the integrity and openness of employment practices in the county. His call for reform aims to address these concerns and ensure that future hiring processes are conducted with the utmost transparency and fairness.
