Parents, teachers and Board of management of Bungoma DEB primary school, have been congratulated for showing sterling academic performance.
Speaking during state visit at the school, Bungoma County deputy governor Hillary Chongwony said that the school had a bright future owning to its academic records.
“I am so pleased with the academic performance in this school and I thank the community of the school for their efforts” he said.
He further said that the County government will involve central government to ensure that the school gets enough class rooms and teachers.
He added that gone are the days when leaders waited for central government to intervene into matters affecting the schools urging that the county government was put in place to bring services close to common mwananchi.
“We will work close with the community of Bungoma DEB to ensure enough classes are built through County Government support” he said.
He added that he will, with other stakeholders and friends to have a contribution towards improving the state of the school.
On the other hand Mr. Chongwony urged Bungoma County residents to support the Jubilee government for them to realize the fruits of the government.
He mentioned some of the developments the Jubilee government has achieved since it came into power including ongoing big infrastructure projects like the Standard Gauge Railway, roads and rural electrification projects which has changed the face of most rural areas in the country.
Speaking at the same event, Bungoma DEB primary school head teacher Tobias Khisa thanked the Deputy Governor for visiting the school and urged the county government to join the community of the school in improving the state of the school.
